Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 3, 2026
Our commitment
At Mini World Kids we believe every parent, grandparent, and gift-giver deserves a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience on our website — regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse. We are committed to making miniworldkids.com as accessible, welcoming, and easy to navigate as possible for everyone.
We aim to meet the standards set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
1. What we are doing
Visual accessibility
-
Maintaining clear colour contrast between text and background elements throughout our site — our cream, charcoal, and sage green palette is chosen with readability in mind
-
Ensuring all product images include descriptive alternative text so screen reader users understand what each image shows
-
Avoiding the use of colour alone to convey important information
-
Supporting browser-level text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
Navigation and structure
-
Using clear and consistent heading structures across all pages so assistive technologies can interpret our content correctly
-
Ensuring all buttons, links, and interactive elements can be navigated using a keyboard alone
-
Providing descriptive link text so users understand where each link leads before clicking
-
Maintaining a consistent and logical page layout across our homepage, product pages, and policy pages
Shopping and checkout
-
Ensuring our product pages, shopping cart, and checkout process are compatible with screen reader software
-
Clearly labelling all form fields including name, address, and payment fields at checkout
-
Providing clear and specific error messages during checkout so any issues can be easily identified and resolved
-
Making order confirmations and tracking information accessible to all users
Forms and contact page
-
All fields on our contact form are clearly labelled
-
Our topic selection pills, dropdown menus, and text areas are keyboard navigable
-
Error messages describe the problem clearly and suggest how to resolve it
Mobile and assistive technology
-
Our site is fully responsive and designed to work across all screen sizes and devices
-
We support zoom up to 200% without horizontal scrolling or loss of functionality
-
We test compatibility with common screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver on iOS
2. Known limitations
Mini World Kids is a small independent family store and while we are fully committed to accessibility there may be areas of our website that do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and address these.
Areas we are currently reviewing include:
-
Some product images sourced from our supplier partners may not yet have complete alternative text descriptions — we are working through these on an ongoing basis as new products are added
-
Certain third-party tools we use including our payment processor, shipping tracking pages, and any embedded review widgets may have accessibility limitations that fall outside our direct control
-
Some older product listings may not yet fully meet our current accessibility standards — we update these regularly as we review the store
3. Third-party content
As a dropshipping store a significant portion of our product content — including images, descriptions, and specifications — is sourced from third-party suppliers. While we review and update this content where possible some elements originate from external sources and may not always meet full accessibility standards immediately upon listing.
We also use third-party services for payment processing, email marketing, and order tracking. We select partners who take accessibility seriously but we cannot fully control the accessibility of their own interfaces. If you encounter difficulty with any third-party element on or linked from our site please contact us and we will do our best to help.
4. Our ongoing commitment
We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time task. As Mini World Kids grows we are committed to:
-
Regularly reviewing our website for accessibility barriers and addressing them promptly
-
Updating all supplier-provided product content to include proper alternative text and age guidance
-
Including accessibility considerations whenever we update, redesign, or add new sections to our site
-
Listening and responding to accessibility feedback from our customers quickly and with care
